Our business is about Constructive development - facilitating behavioural change that leads to increased individual, team, and organisational effectiveness.

At the individual level, Human Synergistics supports people in constructively redirecting the way in which they interact with others and approach their work. At the organisational level, we transform the context people work within and the expectations they face.

Through a combination of our internationally-recognised assessments and simulations, application and accreditation workshops, and optional consulting services, we help teams, organisations, and their members measure and improve leadership and culture to increase organisational performance and sustainability.

Our mission, Changing the World - One Organisation at a Time, says it all. It may sound lofty, but it’s actually grounded in research. In an international study carried out by HSI’s CEO, Dr. Robert A. Cooke, based partly on data provided by members of AIESEC (International Association of Students in Business and Economics), more Constructive and less Defensive Ideal organisational cultures, as measured by the Organisational Culture Inventory, were found in countries that exhibited certain types of societal values (e.g. low power distance and uncertainty avoidance as assessed by Geert Hofstede). Furthermore, these countries ranked higher than others in World Competitiveness per the Institute for Management Development’s (IMD) World Competitiveness Yearbook (WCY).

Numerous other studies on profitability and long-term effectiveness have shown that Constructive as opposed to Defensive Culture styles are linked not only to organisational performance and sustainability but also to desired outcomes at the level of individual members (e.g. well being and engagement).
