Allan Stewart has been the president of Human Synergistics Canada since 1996. His unique background combines a successful general management career with extensive workshop training experience and a varied academic career.

Allan has conducted training programs for organizations in retail, finance, mining, manufacturing, energy, athletics, education, health care and various sectors of the government. He was a senior executive with Sears Canada Inc. and has been a professor at McMaster University and Sheridan College. He received his B.Com. from Queen’s University and his M.B.A. from Wilfrid Laurier University.

Allan has over 30 years experience in developing and conducting training workshops. His past clients have included some of the largest and most successful organizations in Canada. He has trained executives, first-line supervisors, trainers, sales-people and line workers. He has been an instructor with the Executive Development Programs at McMaster, York Universities and the Ontario Police College. He has been a key-note speaker on television and at a number of professional conferences. He is considered a leading expert on organizational culture and development.

Allan’s dynamic training style and practical approach make him a popular workshop facilitator who has helped people throughout Canada and internationally. He has written articles and workbooks on a variety of subjects, including culture, leadership, stress management, change leadership, entrepreneurship and selling. As well, Allan Stewart is a skilled consultant, interacting with individuals, teams and companies.

As a volunteer, Allan has conducted leadership skills workshops for youth in Canada's native communities and in third world countries. He has lead several charitable organizations, coached minor sports for over 20 years, counseled elite athletes, and developed and lead young entrepreneurs' programs.
Shawna Carroll is a Consultant with Human Synergistics Canada. Prior to joining HSC, she was a successful Human Resources Manager in the Health Care and Energy industries, consulting with and advising management in a variety of HR and leadership subjects.

Shawna’s practical approach and insightful questioning enables her to develop solutions designed to solve problems and help achieve organizational goals. As a recent MBA graduate, she is able to integrate new methodologies with established Organizational Development techniques. Shawna received her Bachelors of Business Administration from the University of New Brunswick and her Masters of Business Administration from the University of Aberdeen in Scotland.

As an expert on Organizational Culture and Effectiveness, Shawna has helped a number of organizations design and develop change initiatives. Her knowledge of Organizational Behaviour and Development enables her to zero in on key issues, thereby helping consultants achieve their organizational objectives.

Kate Stewart Human Synergistics newest consultant, has several years’ experience in leadership and management. Kate was owner/operator of Stewart Books for several years before becoming a financial services representative for one of Canada’s largest banks. Kate also spent time abroad teaching English as a second language.

Kate’s background with both small enterprises and large corporations; her experience as an educator and as a business manager; and, her excellent coaching style makes her an invaluable consultant. Kate has her Bachelors Degree from York University in Toronto.

As a skilled leader and educator, Kate has assisted a number of participants in developing leadership and job skills. Her knowledge of leadership behaviour and development enables her to assist both internal and external consultants.


 Colin Newhouse has been the Senior Associate, Human Synergistics Québec since 1995. Colin Newhouse was born in England and educated there and in France.

He qualified as a teacher in the UK and completed the first part of his Bachelor degree in Education at the University of Reading. Then he moved to France where he completed his degree, a License ès-lettres in Education and Communication from the Université de Paris V. In Paris, he started his career in adult training and development.

In 1975, he moved to Montreal. He became the Managing Director of a consulting company specializing in language and communications training and development, a position he held for 3 years, before moving to a similar position in CP Rail. In 1979 he joined Canadair. After setting up all language and communication training in the organization, he moved into management development and became the Head of Training and Development for Bombardier/Canadair. He implemented several Human Synergistics leadership assessment programs during the culture changes brought in by the parent Bombardier company.

In 1990 he joined Spar Aerospace to head up all Recruiting and Training and Development and then moved to Hewitt-Caterpillar in 1992 to hold a similar position. In both positions, he introduced Human Synergistics assessment technologies.

Since 1993 he has owned and managed his own Human Performance consulting company, Colin Newhouse and Associates. The company bases most of its client programs on Human Synergistics technologies.

He is also socially active as the General Secretary of Handicap International, a non-governmental organization specializing in helping victims of land-mines and armed conflicts around the world.

Trish Beacham has been with Human Syngergistics Canada since 1999. She primarily manages the OCI projects assisting clients in developing programs that provide statistically reliable information so that their organizations can begin the process of change.

Kathryn Edgar began with Human Synergistics Canada in 2002. Besides being the manager responsible for all accounts, she manages Leadership projects for a wide range of clients that enable consultants to assist participants in their training and development efforts.

Leslie Marziali has been with Human Synergistics since 2005. Leslie's primary focus is managing Leadership projects. Thousands of individuals have benefited from the reports that she has produced.

Cathy Bage started with Human Synergistics Canada in 2016. Her commitment to ship clients their products in a timely manner means that both internal and external consultants will have the material they need--when they need it.

Thérèse Dupuy has been working in our Québec office for many years. She assists clients in all of their programs and works as a liaison with the scoring department to ensure their needs are met.
